Admission Procedure

B. Tech Degree Course

Admissions to the 1st Year of B. Tech Degree Courses against the number of Seats available will be as per the procedure laid down below:

Admissions to 85% General Seats will be made by Himachal Pradesh Technical University. 15% Seats will be filled by the Management. Seats left vacant after completion of counseling by HP technical University will be filled by the College Management. Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with PCM and minimum 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST) from the State Education Board of Himachal Pradesh or any other State and who have qualified JEE (MAIN) conducted by CBSE, New Delhi will be eligible for Admission to B. Tech course.


B.Tech Lateral Entry

Candidates who have passed 3 years Diploma with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST) in any engineering branch from State Board of Technical Education and are bonafide Himachali shall be eligible for admission in 2nd year B. Tech courses directly.


M. Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering

Candidates who have passed B. Tech / B. E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics Engineering or its equivalent examination or B. Tech in any branch with minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST) or CGPA of 6.25 at 10 point scale from any recognized University / Institution.


M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering

Candidates who have passed B. Tech / B. E. in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering/Automobile Engineering/Industrial Engineering & Management/Mechatronics / Mining Engineering/Production Design/Product Design & Development/Metallurgy Engineering or its equivalent examination with minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC/ST) or CGPA of 6.25 at 10 point scale from any recognized University / Institution.
