The college are under the administrative control of the Green Hills Engineering College Society and the Principal are Head of the respective Institute, who functions under the general supervision and guidance of the Chairman, College Management Council, The College campus is situated in the lush green valley of Gandhigram on Kumarhatti-Nahan road at a distance of 9 km from Kumarhatti and 72 km from District Head quarters at Solan. It is located about 65 km from Chandigarh and at a same distance from Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. The area of college campus is 30 acres which houses the Academic blocks, Administrative blocks, Boys hostel, Girls hostel, Guest House, shopping center and Play grounds.
The GHGI has strength of about 200 well qualified & dedicated faculty members. Faculty includes Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Lecturers and Workshop instructors & Lab Technicians/Assistants.
First class RCC building with smart lecture halls, tutorial rooms, seminar halls & well equipped laboratories and Drawing Halls have been provided in all academic blocks.
Every college has a well-established computer center in addition to computer labs. The computer center is equipped with server, workstations and a local area network is already in operation. 24 hours-10 MBPS internet facility is available. The campus of all colleges are fully wi-fi connected.
The college campus is guarded by Security personal round the clock and CCTV cameras for surveillance have been installed in the institute campus.
The institute has its own telephone exchange and a ax connection. All the colleges and departments are connected on telephone.
A common room has been provided in each hostel.
Running water supply system is available in all buildings of the Teaching, Residential and Hostel complexes. The institute has its own 3 deep tube wells.
A medium size Community-cum-Commercial complex has been constructed for the benefits of students which house various facilities like ATM, book shop, etc.
