DISCIPLINARY ACTION FOR VIOLATING DISCIPLINE IN THE HOSTEL
a) Violation of Rules & Discipline will invite punishment in the form of fines, recovery of loss & other punishments including expulsion from the hostel.
b) The Principal's decision concerning all disciplinary matters will be final and binding on students.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
In an academic year there will be Two Semester Examinations. Minimum 75 percent of the attendance in each subject is necessary for a student for being eligible to appear in the examination of any subject.
Besides this, the student must carry out and acquaint themselves with the laboratory and practical work covered during the semester to the satisfaction of the Principal. Students are required to pursue their studies regularly and those whose performance in the class is not satisfactory are liable to be detained by the Principal from appearing in the University Examinations.
a) All students are expected to keep abreast with the studies and regularly pass the various University Examinations. The Detailed rules & Syllabi of the University Examinations are available with the college and every student is advised to get the latest copy of syllabus for guidance.
b) Absence from any examination will be considered a failure, no medical certificate or evidence of sickness during or prior to the time of examination will exempt a student from any examination.
c) Strict action will be taken against the student who found using unfair means in university or other examination, as per H.P. Technical University, Hamirpur rules.
d) In addition to the University Examination, Sessional Tests are to be held during the Semester to enable the teaching staff to gauge the progress of individual student and marks obtained during these sessional tests will count towards marks to be awarded in the internal assessment of the student.
e) General fitness forms a part of sessional work for all the Engineering Examinations of the University and success in these is as obligatory as in any other examination. Marks are awarded on the basis of performance of students in sports, physical fitness, tutorial meetings, curricular activities, attendance, good conduct etc. Students are therefore advised to pay due attention to the various activities in the college.
f) In addition to the practical training received at the College Workshop during the vacations in first year, students shall undergo four to six weeks approved Industrial Practical Training from approved engineering Institutions/Industries after the fourth and sixth Semester examinations for the fulfilment of the concerned degree. Regular reports regarding conduct, attendance and progress during industrial training will be required from the authorities under which he/she is undergoing training.
g) A student is permitted to choose for himself/herself the particular type of Industrial training that he/she wishes to undergo, which is subject to Principal's approval for suitability. In this connection the Principal will always be pleased to advise students as to the best training with regard to the particular area in which they seek to make their career.
h) The arrangement of Industrial training will be made by the College in the beginning of the training period. A student who does not avail himself of this arrangement shall have to do so at his/her own risk. It will be entirely his/her responsibility to fix his/her Industrial training elsewhere with the approval of the Principal.
i) All students must pay their dues to the college Accounts Branch well in time & before filling University Examination Form in every Semester. The defaulter students may not be allowed to sit in the Semester Examination in case College dues are not paid.
